Woman, 65, critical after SUV hits her | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Shobha Chaudhary, 65, a disciple of Brahma Kumaris Ashram and a resident of Manak Nagar, was injured after an uncontrolled SUV hit her in the Chungi area of Sarojini Nagar police station on Sunday morning.The vehicle first collided with New Hind Hotel, breaking its counter in the collision. It later hurtled into neighbouring shops and then hit the elderly woman, who was going to the ashram. The residents rushed the injured woman to Lok Bandhu Hospital, where doctors admitted her to the ICU. Later, she was referred to KGMU’s Trauma Centre, where her condition is stated to be critical. After the accident, the four youths abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. People tried to catch them, but in vain. We are tracing the owner on the basis of the vehicle number and are also scanning CCTV footage, said ACP Krishnanagar, Vikas Pandey.
