Revenue inspector caught taking bribe | Lucknow News
Lucknow: The Anti-Corruption Organisation (ACO) of UP on Tuesday carried out a trap operation in Bahraich district, leading to the arrest of a revenue inspector accepting a bribe.The Gonda unit of ACO initiated action following a complaint filed by Dinanath, a resident of Bahraich. Dinanath alleged that a revenue official was demanding bribe for preparing and submitting a land measurement report related to his property.After verifying the complaint, the ACO formed a trap team led by inspector Dhananjay Kumar Singh. The team laid a trap near Payagpur tehsil of Bahraich. The team apprehended revenue inspector Ram Milan, posted in Payagpur tehsil while he was accepting a bribe of Rs6,000 from the complainant. The accused will face departmental action.
