Lucknow: A moving car caught fire in Chowk on Tuesday afternoon, triggering panic among commuters. No injuries or loss of life were reported in the incident. The driver, identified as Mohammad Kaif, told officials that a short circuit caused the fire.“Around 2.30 pm, Chowk fire station received information that a vehicle went up in flames on the road leading from Malikhan Sarai towards Chowk,” said CFO Lucknow Ankush Mittal.“The station dispatched two fire tenders to the spot. On reaching the location, firefighters found a car engulfed in flames. The team managed to douse fire before it could spread,” the CFO added. TNN
