A loud public applause and a vibrant finale to Bhagidari Utsav | Lucknow News



Lucknow: The six-day Janjatiya Bhagidari Utsav, celebrated every year to mark the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Birsa Munda, concluded with a vibrant display of cultural heritage and traditional arts at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan on Tuesday. It alos drew a loud public applause. The closing ceremony featured captivating performances from various states and tribal communities. Highlights included a traditional ‘Puppet Show’, ‘Baiga Pardhoni dance’ from Madhya Pradesh, ‘Hurdungwa dance’ from Bahraich, ‘Javra, Rai, and Balma’ dance from Chitrakoot, and Yak and Nyohu dance from Arunachal Pradesh. Each performance showcased the unique impression of tribal folk dance, music, and traditions, making the festival an unforgettable experience. Visitors were seen shopping from various tribal and folk home decor, garments, handicrafts and paintings from stalls that were set up. People were also seen relishing snacks such as tea, coffee, moong dal ka halwa, Rajasthani raj kachouri, idli and dosa.
