Lucknow: UP’s Mission Rozgar, which aims to place over one lakh workers in domestic and international jobs, will operate through a robust, multi-layered governance structure designed to ensure accountability and coordination across departments.Speaking at the Rozgar Mission Industry Connect-2025 programme on Friday, principal secretary MKS Sundaram said, “At the apex of this structure rests the Governing Council. Chaired by the chief minister, the council will work to provide vision and direction to the entire programme.” He added that a steering committee, led by the chief secretary, will function next in the hierarchy. An executive committee, headed by the principal secretary of labour and employment, will oversee operational aspects. Supporting these bodies will be the state programme management unit, managed by the director of employment and responsible for day-to-day administration. At the district level, executive committees will implement the mission on the ground. “This structure ensures accountability and alignment across departments, from skill training to placement,” Sundaram said.
