Youth calls mother before suicide; teen’s note says addicted to gaming | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Two suicides reported in the city on Thursday. In the first incident, body of a 22-year-old man was found hanging at a friend’s residence in Bijnor police station area. The young man, employed at a garage in Nadarganj alongside his friend’s, had access to the house as the owner was away with family. At 11 am, he made a distress video call to his mother, declaring his intention to end his life and urging that no one should attempt to intervene. Alarmed by unanswered calls, his brother hurried to the location, entering the premises forcibly only to find his body hanging. The other incident involved an 18-year-old Class 12 student who ended his life at his home in Chhota Bharwara, Gomtinagar Extension. His father found the body hanging from the ceiling in the morning. A suicide note, penned in English, was found, revealing an addiction to online games and fear of financial loss that led to his taking the extreme step.TNN
