Yogi orders aid as elderly woman with cancer-hit son turns up at Janata Darshan

Lucknow: An elderly woman from Kanpur, whose son is suffering from cancer, came to meet Chief minister Yogi Adityanath at Janata Darshan held at his residence in Lucknow on Monday.“Sir, my young son has cancer. We are poor, unable to afford treatment, and we don’t even have an Ayushman card. Please save my son’s life,” the 63-year-old woman from Raipurwa, Kanpur pleaded before the CM. The CM immediately made arrangements for her son to be shifted by govt ambulance from the Janata Darshan venue to the Kalyan Singh Super Specialty Cancer Institute and be given urgent medical care. The CM met around 50 more people at the event. He heard out each of them individually, took their applications and directed officials to resolve them in a time-bound manner. “My government works with the ethos of ‘Har Seva, Narayan Seva’, striving to bring happiness to every citizen’s face. Anyone who approaches the govt for medical treatment receives support. Our govt stands firmly with every victim and will continue extending financial aid for treatment whenever needed,” he said. The complaints the CM received on Monday included matters related to illegal construction in Mathura, Vrindavan, and Lucknow, lack of action in a cyber fraud case from Noida, and matters related to police, administration, revenue, electricity, and financial aid.
