Woman, father held after man set ablaze | Lucknow News
Lucknow: A young man was hospitalised for severe burn injuries after he was allegedly set ablaze in Khajuria Shubha village, Friday night. The man, identified as Rajesh, son of Punwasi, resident of Guru Bux Kheda in Nagaram police station area of Lucknow, was reportedly in a relationship with a married woman living in Tambolia area under Nagaram police station. The woman had reportedly been sent back to her parental home last year after her husband came to know about her affair. On Friday night, the woman called Rajesh to Khajuria Shubha when her father caught them together and allegedly doused Rajesh in petrol and set him on fire. On the other hand, there were allegations that Rajesh had attempted self-immolation. Police arrived at the scene and rushed a severely burned Rajesh to the hospital. The woman and her father have been taken into custody for questioning. The police were investigating the case, said SP Barabanki, Arpit Vijayvargiya.
