Lucknow: Stepping into a new phase of life after graduation, the Lucknow University toppers are now looking forward to write another success story in their professional life, most of them preferring a career in civil services or academics.Shraddha Yadav, daughter of LIC agent Rajesh Kumar and homemaker Meena Kumari, was awarded nine gold medals for topping in undergraduate in archeology (ancient Indian history). Her success mantra being focused studies, she dreams of becoming an IPS officer. Astha Pandey, daughter of school teacher Sandeep Kumar Pandey and homemaker Manisha Pandey, has bagged four medals in BA (English). Also a UP Board topper in class 10 and 12 from Sitapur, she wants to become a professor. Daughter of govt employee Vijendra Kumar Mishra and homemaker Anita Mishra, Pragati Mishra bagged five medals for being topper in MSc (statistics). She wants to join PhD in statistics and pursue a career in academics.Drishti Jain, daughter of businessman Sudhir Jain and homemaker Sapna Jain, wants to become an IAS officer. With a master’s degree in public administration, she bagged five medals. Another topper, Chitra Sahu, daughter of a ration distributor Devi Shankar Sahu and homemaker Sheela Kumari, wants to pursue PhD in geography. She clinched eight medals.Winner of three gold medals in MSc (mathematics), Abhay Verma wants to be a professor. His father Rakesh Verma is a school van driver and his mother Rekha Verma is a homemaker. Manisha Kumari, daughter of ex-armyman Ram Pravesh Roy and homemaker Neelam , won four medals for brilliant performance in MSc (botany) at JNPG College. She also achieved an impressive AIR 48 in CSIR NET (LS) exam. “One must acquire as much knowledge as one can in their field,” said Manisha, who wants to be a professor.Ravi Chand, son of retired Army officer Gulab Chander, and homemaker Shila Devi, won seven medals in LLB.
