Samarth Portal glitches halt law exam formalities

Lucknow: First-semester students of the faculty of law at Lucknow University are unable to complete the examination-related formalities due to technical issues on the Samarth portal. While the last date for completing formalities is Dec 20, students claim that the portal is not accepting new registrations and repeatedly showing ‘invalid details’ causing anxiety just days before the examinations. According to students, even after entering correct enrolment numbers, dates of birth, and other required information, the portal fails to process their registration. “We are following all the instructions carefully, but the portal keeps rejecting our details. With the deadline so close, it is very stressful for all of us,” said Preeti Verma, a first semester law student. “Almost everyone in our batch is facing the same problem. We have tried different devices and internet connections, but nothing works. There is no clear guidance from the administration,” said Dhruv Sharma, a first-semester law student. “Even when we contact the university, we are told to wait or try later. The clock is ticking, and the fear of missing the exam deadline is real,” said Indu Gupta, a first-semester law student The students submitted a written complaint to the Controller of Examinations. “The university is treating this matter with utmost seriousness, and the technical team is already working to resolve it quickly,” said LU spokesperson Mukul Srivastava.
