Rs 75L liquor being smuggled to Bihar seized | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Lucknow unit of UP Special Task Force seized foreign made liquor worth Rs 75 lakh being transported in a truck, hidden between bags of fertiliser from PGI police station area on Saturday. The accused arrested was identified as Vishvendra of Jhajjar, Haryana. The liquor was headed for distribution in poll-bound Bihar.On receiving information about an interstate gang involved in smuggling of illicit liquor, STF team started investigation. On Saturday, they received information about a truck laden with liquor and with a fake registration number plate, heading for Bihar. STF, along with local police, intercepted the truck at Omaxe Cut in Kalli West at Kisan Path and seized 575 cartons of English liquor of different brands. TNN
