Ram temple marks India’s spiritual revival, says Yogi | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said construction of Ram temple was not just a religious project but India’s spiritual revival.“When millions of devotees vowed ‘Ram Lalla, Mandir Wahi Banayenge’ many doubted its possibility. However, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s leadership and with the blessings of revered saints, this pledge has been fulfilled,” he said. Speaking at Prabuddhjan Samvad Sangam on ‘National Unity and Social Harmony’ at Siddhpeeth Shri Hathiaram Mutt in Ghazipur, he defined India’s true essence as one that lies in its spiritual consciousness. “As long as citizens have a sense of devotion and nationalism, nothing could prevent India from emerging as a global leader,” he said. He further said temples and mutts were not just places of worship, but pillars of national unity and social harmony. When attempts were made to create discord based on caste or community, they serve to unite society. He added that Ram temple’s four gtaes have been named in the honour of Acharyas, Shankaracharya, Ramanujacharya, Ramanandacharya, and Madhvacharya. Many initiatives in Ayodhya were named after persons in the Ramayan, the CM added. This included the international airport after Maharshi Valmiki, installing statues of the seven sages and Tulsidas within the Ram Temple complex, erecting a statue of Jatayu in the city, and building shelters honouring Nishadraj, the first person who assisted Lord Ram during his exile. A dining hall was named after Shabari, a disciple of Sage Matanga who devoted her life to Ram bhakti. Ghazipur Medical College has been dedicated to Vishwamitra, the CM said.TNN
