Lucknow: The central executive committee of the State Electricity Board Junior Engineers’ Association on Sunday unanimously opposed any move toward privatisation of the energy sector.Central patron of the association, Satnam Singh, said a resolution was passed stating that if the Uttar Pradesh govt or the energy management proceeds with any tender process related to privatisation, the association will immediately resort to a work boycott and launch a “Jail Bharo” movement. He added that the association is ready to support the management in implementing reforms within the department but will firmly oppose privatisation in all its forms. TNN
