Patrons flock to the ‘pukar’ of Hemant Kumar | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Audience were enthralled by the musical segment ‘Tum Pukar Lo: A tribute Hemant Kumar‘ by singer Sagnik Sen on the first day of Koshala Literature Festival. Visitors in warm clothes, sipping tea and coffee, enjoyed the musci, humming along with the singer and every performance was welcomed with applause. Music patron Abhijit Sarkar said, “Sagnik Sen’s voice is proof of Urdu in Lucknow’s soil and sweetness of music in Gomti that flows through it.” Hemant Kumar of Bengal remains a global favourite, he added. Nandita Bose (62), said, “Velvet-voiced Hemant Kumar was my favourite singer.”
