Nautanki nuances greatness, glory of Lord Ram | Lucknow News



Lucknow: Circumstances that led to the exile of Lord Ram were depicted through a nautanki titled ‘Van Chale… Ram Raghurai’ by Buddham Theatre Society at Rai Umanath Bali Auditorium on Thursday evening. Conceived, written, composed and directed by Amit Dixit ‘Ramji’, the production portrayed Lord Ram’s glorious ideals and sacrifice.Narrated by Narad Muni, the play depicted episodes of the Ramayan. Emotional highpoints were Nishadraj and Kevat’s devotion and Bharat’s decision to place Ram’s sandals on the throne and live in Nandigram.Speaking about the message of the play, Dixit said, “Children often do not obey their parents, but Lord Ram followed his father’s command and accepted exile as demanded by his stepmother. His life is the greatest lesson in duty and respect for parents.”Nearly 50 artists performed, with lead roles played by Naitik Singh (Ram), Avantika Sharma (Sita), and Abhishek Sharma (Bharat). Chief guest Dhirendra Singh Sachan, IAS, praised the effort, while society president Pradeep Mitra said Lord Ram’s character will always inspire society.
