Min at Diwali event: All party workers are equally valuable

Lucknow: In a display of camaraderie and festive spirit, defence minister Rajnath Singh attended Diwali Sneh Milan (worker meet-and-greet) in Gomtinagar on Saturday where he interacted with party workers, enjoying traditional Lucknowi snacks like batasha and tikki.Addressing the crowd, Singh expressed joy at their energy and extended warm wishes for Dhanteras and Diwali. Singh emphasized his commitment to staying connected with party workers, stating that his parliamentary work is made possible by their dedication. “You are workers, and I am a worker too,” he said, reinforcing the idea of collective responsibility. He spoke about the importance of organisational structure, noting that while roles may differ, everyone is equally valuable. Using the example of number 111, he illustrated how each digit contributes to the whole, regardless of position. Reflecting on the growth of the BJP and RSS, Singh credited divine grace and the tireless efforts of countless individuals. He urged leaders to stand by workers in times of grief, calling it a sacred duty. Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak praised Singh’s leadership, noting Lucknow’s rise on the global map. BJP city president Anand Dwivedi echoed the sentiment, calling Singh’s presence a matter of pride. The event concluded with a strong message of unity, humility and service—values that continue to shape the party’s journey.
