Man commits suicide over alleged harassment by wife, acquaintance | Lucknow News
Lucknow: A 26-year-old resident of Mayapuri Colony in Gudamba, Satyavan, committed suicide by hanging himself in his room on Sunday. The deceased’s mother accused her daughter-in-law and an acquaintance of inciting him to commit suicide. The deceased’s mother filed a case against both of them at the Gudamba police station.According to the complainant, Geeta Devi, the deceased’s mother, Satyavan returned to his room around 10 pm on Oct 23 with his friend Ankit Tiwari. They worked together at a petrol pump. At 10.18 pm on the same day, Ankit’s wife, Kusum Tiwari, and Satyavan had a phone conversation.Following this call, Satyavan and his wife Khushboo had a heated argument. “They then harassed my son Satyavan, leading to his suicide by hanging himself in his room,” alleged Geeta Devi, who accused her daughter-in-law, Khushboo alias Preeti, and Kusum Tiwari of her son’s mental harassment.
