Man accused of raping minor found dead | Lucknow News
Kanpur: The body of a 24-year-old man, accused of raping a minor, was found hanging from a tree on the outskirts of a village in Hamirpur on Sunday morning, police said.The youth, identified as Alok alias Satish Prajapati, lured the 10-year-old girl to his house and allegedly raped her. When the girl raised an alarm, he gagged her, dumped her in a field, and fled. The victim’s mother said during a feast in their village on Saturday evening, the accused allegedly lured her daughter to his house on the pretext of delivering milk. After this, the girl went missing. She lodged a missing complaint at Biwar police station late Saturday night. The girl was later found in a distressed condition in a nearby field. However, on Sunday morning, police recovered Alok’s body about 2Km from the village. The body was sent for postmortem and further probe on, said SHO Biwar Nandram Prajapati.
