LU to also offer engineering courses in Hindi medium from next session | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Students will now get an option to study in engineering courses in Hindi medium in Lucknow University from the next session.Aligning with the objectives of the National Education Policy, the move aims to make technical education more inclusive and easier for students who face challenges with English. Starting from the 2026–27 academic session, programs like B.Tech in Computer Engineering and B.Sc. in Data Science will be available in both Hindi and English. The department of computer science and engineering has begun translating its English-language curriculum into Hindi. “Nearly 60% of the content has already been translated, and the remaining will be completed soon,” said Himanshu Pandey, associate professor at the department of computer science and engineering. “Learning technical subjects in Hindi will help students grasp concepts better and perform more confidently during practical sessions,” he added. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University began offering engineering in Hindi in 2022.
