LMC to help Unnao panchayat achieve cleanliness goals | Lucknow News
Lucknow: To strengthen the Swachh Bharat Mission, the Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) and Nagar Panchayat Rasoolabad, Unnao, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday under the ‘Swachh Shehar Jodi’ (City Pairing) initiative. The move aims to give a new dimension to cleanliness management by linking a large municipal body with a smaller town.Under the MoU, LMC will extend technical and managerial support to Rasoolabad in areas such as door-to-door garbage collection, solid waste management, sewerage, waste disposal, and drinking water supply. Training and capacity building of local staff will also be undertaken to strengthen Rasoolabad’s civic services. Mayor Sushma Kharkwal said, “We want to carry this partnership like a mission so Rasoolabad can achieve a higher rank in cleanliness.” TNN
