KOLKATA: A Jadavpur University third-year undergraduate student of English department was rushed to KPC hospital on Thursday night after she was rescued in an unconscious state from the pond opposite UG arts building by other students and security guards, police said. “The student was declared dead on arrival. It is a case of suspected drowning,” a hospital source said. The incident has again raised questions on the security scenario of the campus.
