JAISALMER: In Jaisalmer’s border area of Ramgarh on Thursday, the Indian Air Force was compelled to make an emergency landing of an unmanned air vehicle, Heron Searcher, in a field due to a technical malfunction. There were no reports of any loss of life or property. The UAV Heron Searcher was engaged in a routine training flight at the time of the incident. Meanwhile, the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy’s Tri Shakti Exercise Trishul has been underway for several days in Jaisalmer’s desert sector.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Air Force officials arrived at the location accompanied by Ramgarh police and Border Security Force officials, who commenced an investigation. The Indian Air Force confirmed the emergency landing of the Heron Searcher UAV due to a technical malfunction.According to official sources, near the India-Pakistan border close to Jaisalmer in the border area of Ramgarh’s canal region at Chak Number 3, Sattar Minor, local farmers observed a suspicious flying object that fell in local farmer Mota Ram’s field and promptly informed villagers and police. Upon receiving the information, police, Air Force, BSF, and other security and intelligence agencies reached the site and began their investigation.During this period, the Air Force informed police that the unmanned air vehicle which landed in the farmer’s field in Ramgarh’s canal area belonged to them. This unmanned air vehicle is a UAV named Heron Searcher, which was launched on Thursday for its routine training flight, but due to a technical malfunction during the training flight, Air Force officials controlling it had to make an emergency landing in a field. There were no reports of any loss of life or property.The Air Force spokesperson also confirmed on Thursday the emergency landing in a farmer’s field in Jaisalmer’s Ramgarh area due to a technical malfunction in the unmanned air vehicle named Heron Searcher. Orders have been issued to investigate the matter.
