If BJP has no trust in us, we can cut ties, says Nishad | Lucknow News
Lucknow: UP fisheries minister and national president of Nishad Party, one of the three allies of BJP in UP, Sanjay Nishad on Tuesday said that if the BJP has no trust in his party, then it could end the alliance. “If BJP has faith in us that we are guiding our society in the right direction and this is benefitting BJP, then this alliance should continue. But if there is no trust, then BJP should tell us clearly and end the alliance,” he said in Gorakhpur. He further said that the strength of the allies should not be underestimated.”No one should live under the illusion that the victory in Uttar Pradesh was solely of BJP. That victory came through the collective strength of all allies,” he said. It is BJP’s responsibility to grant SC reservation to Nishads as allies, we remain fully committed, he added. “Our bond with Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram dates back to the Treta Yug, and we remain committed to carrying forward the same ideology,” said the minister. On being asked about his son’s loss in Sant Kabir Nagar in 2024 Lok Sabha polls, he said: “Repeatedly the question is asked—how did Praveen lose? The BJP leadership of that parliamentary constituency knows exactly what was done and what was not. The full report is with BJP; they should make it public.”
