Lucknow: Patients in need of platelets will no longer have to go elsewhere, as the blood bank at Lokbandhu hospital has started providing Single Donor Platelet (SDP) apheresis. Hospital director Dr Sangeeta Gupta said the service was launched on the occasion of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day. A blood donation camp was also organised to mark the occasion, where 16 donors registered and six donated blood. The event was attended by chief medical superintendent Dr Rajeev Dixit. TNN
