Lucknow: With the preparations complete, the lotus-shaped Rashtra Prerna Sthal, spread over 65 acres in the Basant Kunj area of Lucknow, is all set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.The Prime Minister’s address will be telecast live on LED screens installed at major intersections across the city to facilitate wider public participation. In the run-up to the event, the entire complex is decorated with an extensive floral display featuring ornamental plants sourced from Andhra Pradesh, Nainital, Delhi, and Pune. Nearly 150,000 plants, including roses, chrysanthemums, marigolds, pansies, poinsettias, jasmine, areca palms, salvias, and madhukani, are being used to enhance the landscaping. Complementing the site’s architectural theme, lotus-shaped fountains with floating roses and vertical gardens have also been installed on the premises. The area is placed under 24-hour surveillance, and three helipads have been constructed and cleared for operation. Officials assured that helicopter movement will be managed without affecting city traffic. Prime Minister will arrive by helicopter and begin the programme by paying floral tributes at the 65-foot-tall statues of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee, and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. He will then visit the museum block and view a documentary on lives, contributions and ideologies of the leaders. He will dedicate the park within Rashtra Prerna Sthal complex to public and address from the main stage. To ensure the smooth conduct of the event, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath earlier inspected the venue .
