Free bus travel for women for Rakshabandhan | Lucknow News
Lucknow: The UP govt announced free travel for women passengers in all categories of UPSRTC buses and city buses on Rakshabandhan. The concession will be available from 6 am on Aug 8 to 12 am on Aug 10.Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued directions for making a sufficient number of buses available on the roads in urban and rural areas during the festival. He also directed patrolling on the routes to ensure there is no congestion.The Yogi govt allowed women passengers a free ride in roadways buses on Rakshabandhan since 2017. Last year, it extended the facility to city buses as well, which will be ensured this year too.
