Family rule in Bihar nearing its end, says Dy CM

Lucknow: Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, during his visit to Jhansi, said that the people of Bihar have given a clear message that ‘jungle raj, katta raj and parivarvad are now nearing their end’.He said that ‘booth capturing and looting the country or the state is no longer possible’ and added that stopping the BJP in Uttar Pradesh is beyond SP president Akhilesh Yadav’s capacity. “He is following the same path as Rahul Gandhi,” Maurya remarked.Commenting on reports of doctors being involved in the Delhi blast case, Maurya said, “It is worrying when educated individuals get involved in such acts. But they will meet the same fate as enemies of the nation.”On the split within Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family, he said it marks the ‘beginning of the end of family rule’, adding that Mulayam Singh Yadav’s family has already seen similar division in UP. Referring to his recent conversation with Akhilesh in Bihar, he said, “He asked when we would distribute laddoos. We said on the 14th. Now, I am looking for him—inviting him to come, we will serve laddoos and rasgullas.” Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s allegations on ‘vote theft’, Maurya said, “He raised the issue and ended up with just six seats.” He added, “We told them to jump into a pond or a river — and they decided to jump in together with Tejashwi and Akhilesh.”Maurya reiterated that the BJP remains strong in UP and the opposition is unable to challenge it.
