Exercise zero tolerance against mafia: CM in Jhansi | Lucknow News



Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday reviewed the development projects in Jhansi and directed the police to exercise zero tolerance against mafia and criminal activities.In his meeting with local administration, public representatives and police officials, Yogi said that officials should hold regular meetings with public representatives to address local concerns. The CM also inquired about ongoing projects in Bundelkhand and directed officials to ensure their timely completion. He also said drinking water projects should be completed as soon as possible while assuring quality. “Investors under BIDA should be able to begin projects within three years, and land acquisition should be finalised beforehand. We should also focus on training youth so that they are able to secure employment in regional industries,” he said. Speaking on the ongoing fifth phase of Mission Shakti, the CM said strict measures should be taken to prevent harassment of school-going girls and ordered increased foot patrolling during the festive season. Reviewing development projects, the CM directed the nodal officers to carry out regular monitoring. He said farmers affected by excessive rainfall must be compensated immediately. To promote women’s self-help groups, he said, cow dung-based paint produced by them will be used in govt buildings across the district and state. The CM also suggested boosting basil production by linking farmers with the local Vaidyanath firm and urged public representatives to enroll as many patients as possible in the TB-free campaign for Jhansi district. During his visit to Jhansi, the CM also inaugurated a newly constructed convention centre, where he gave cheques to beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan and distributed toolkits under the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Scheme.
