Devipatan tops grievance redressal rankings for Aug | Lucknow News
Lucknow: The August rankings under the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) for effective redressal of complaints and grievances saw Devipatan division ranked first among 18 divisions in the state.In second place is Mirzapur division, followed by Aligarh in third.Devipatan division includes the districts of Shravasti, Bahraich, Gonda and Balrampur. Divisional commissioner Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil said that complaints are being resolved on priority across all four districts.“Transparency and speed are being ensured through regular district-level reviews and personal monitoring of complaint disposal. To verify effectiveness, random feedback from complainants is collected to confirm whether genuine action was taken, while departmental reports are scrutinised every month. Owing to these measures, Devipatan secured 105 marks out of 120, recording a success rate of 87.5%,” he said.In the Aug report, Mirzapur division earned 96 points out of 120 and an 80% success rate, while Aligarh division came third with 93 out of 120 marks and a 77.50% success rate. Basti division secured the fourth position, and Prayagraj division stood fifth.“These divisions have expedited the grievance redressal process by emphasising timeliness, incorporating citizen feedback, and conducting field visits. This proactive approach has ensured that complaints are resolved in a transparent, accountable, and time-bound manner, setting a benchmark for responsive governance,” said a govt spokesperson.
