‘Dependence on Chinese goods will hit domestic industry’ | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday said that India’s dependence on Chinese goods will have an adverse affect on domestic industry and will increase unemployment.Akhilesh said that BJP should clarify if country’s land area was the same since 2014 or it has “shrunk due to Chinese encroachments”.He said that Chinese good would flood the market and increase India’s dependence.“This is the alarming truth behind the BJP’s slogans of self-reliance, Swadeshi and boycott of Chinese products. China will flood Indian markets with its goods, leading to rising dependence which will force the govt to ignore China’s actions,” Akhilesh said in a post on X.He said that Indian manufacturing would be hit hard which would eventually allow China to dictate prices and policies, causing inflation, unemployment and political instability.Outlining the “chronology of the Chinese strategy”, Yadav said, “China will first capture the market and then put economic pressure. This will weaken the BJP govt which will not be able oppose the encroachment of Indian land by China.”“People know that land does not migrate on its own. ‘Migration experts’ should tell the people if any land has been lost to China,” he said.
