Deepotsav: Drone show to dazzle Ayodhya sky | Lucknow News



Lucknow: Over 1,100 made in India drones will illuminate skies to play out episodes from Ramayana on Deepotsav this year. It is being planned that the light show will create Lord Ram, Lakshman and Lord Hanuman in ‘Veer Mudra’, ‘Ravan Vadh’ with music in background, besides Pushpak Viman, Ram Darbar; Hanuman with Valmiki and Tulsidas; Ram Mandir, Deepotsav, UP govt and UP Tourism logos and a host of other things.Tourism and culture minister Jaiveer Singh said on Thursday, “Deepotsav is a global symbol of Ayodhya’s cultural and spiritual heritage and UP govt has created a benchmark over the years, so preparations are underway to make Ayodhya Deepotsav a truly memorable event this year too. In addition to the drone show, there will be a 3D holographic visuals and musical show too.” The drone show of 15 minutes will be supported by laser lights, voiceovers and musical narration. Millions of earthen lamps will illuminate ghats of Saryu River, while cultural performances, processions and religious ceremonies will recreate grandeur of Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya.Tourism and culture principal secretary Mukesh Kumar Meshram said, “Every visitor will return with an unforgettable experience and we are also focusing on crowd management, sanitation and live streaming, so that the celebrations were comfortably accessible for all.” Officials said rehearsals would be conducted in advance to ensure smooth execution of the drone show at Ram ki Paidi.Tourism department is working with various agencies to ensure arrangements, from lighting to visitor amenities, meet highest standards.Deepotsav has grown in scale and significance over years, drawing not only pilgrims from across India but international visitors too to witness blend of devotion, culture and heritage. With this year’s theme, govt aims to reinforce Ayodhya’s place as centre of global spiritual tourism.
