Dairy owner beaten to death in Gudamba | Lucknow News
Lucknow: A 22-year-old dairy owner was murdered in Gudamba on Friday morning over a dispute that stemmed from the disposal of cow dung outside his house. The deceased, identified as Danish of Adilnagar in Gudamba, was attacked after he intervened to save his mother, who was being assaulted by their neighbours following a spat. Police arrested all the accused late in the evening. It was alleged that the prime accused, Farukh, a neighbour, along with 7–8 members of his family, beat Danish with shovels and sticks until he fell unconscious. Mistaking him for dead, they fled the scene. The critically injured victim, who was rushed to the hospital in an unconscious state, died on the way. The deceased’s sister, Jafreen, told police that her brother’s murder was premeditated. “That is why they dragged him away from us while threatening to kill all of us. Later, they beat him to death,” she alleged. She said her second elder brother, Vamish, and her father had gone to the dairy for work. “I heard a commotion outside our house and came out to see my mother crying and my brother Danish lying unconscious,” she said. Jafreen further said their neighbours used to throw cow dung outside their house and attacked her mother when she objected. “When my mother protested, they started hitting her. When my brother saw this, he came to her rescue, and they killed him,” she alleged. Mohammad Danish was married to Tabassum six months ago. He, along with his father Mohammad Shaban, mother Abda, and younger brother Vamish (20), ran a dairy near the house. Gudamba police station in-charge Prabhtesh Srivastava said the body has been sent for post-mortem and the matter is being investigated. He added that Sabir, his wife Shahin, Sameen, Afshan, and Farooq, who have been named in the FIR for murder, have been arrested.
