CS pulls up officials over project delays | Lucknow News



Lucknow: Angered at the slow pace of work related to the construction of the Pradhan Mantri Ekta Mall being built in Agra, Varanasi and Lucknow and hostel projects for working women being constructed in Lucknow, Gautam Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad, chief secretary SP Goyal on Thursday pulled up officials and directed them to accelerate the process.At a meeting of the project monitoring group, the CS said that timeslines should be revised to cover the delays and where necessary, manpower should be increased. During the meeting, progress on projects like the Pradhan Mantri Ekta Mall, PM Mitra Park, hostels for working women, Sant Kabir Textile and Apparel Park, Interpretation Centre in Shravasti, tourism development works in Bateshwar and metro rail projects in Agra, Kanpur and Lucknow and Digital Library were discussed.The CS said that preparations for operation and maintenance of the delayed projects should be started right away so that operations can begin immediately upon completion of construction work. He asked for clarity on the financial and physical progress of all projects by the next meeting.Reviewing PM Mitra Park project, he directed that the work of boundary wall, gate complex and renovation of office building should be completed before March 2026. Progress should also be ensured in the construction of the Interpretation Centre in Shravasti and tourism development works in Bateshwar.
