Cook, staffer arrested for attack on tax officer | Lucknow News

Lucknow: A govt officer and a cook allegedly attacked a senior tax officer with a spade at the State Tax Bhawan in Vibhuti Khand, Gomtinagar, on Monday.Station house officer, Vibhuti Khand police station, Amar Singh said both the accused have been arrested.Police said that the complainant, a deputy commissioner, was on duty when an argument broke out with the accused woman, a cook at the office. “In a fit of rage, she allegedly hit the complainant with a spade, inflicting injuries on his left hand,” the SHO said.He added that based on his written complaint, an FIR was lodged under sections 121(1) and 131 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).During investigation, another officer came out in support of the cook. Police tried to pacify the duo but failed.Keeping in view the possibility of disturbance of peace, both the accused were arrested and produced before court.
