Complete digital crop survey by Oct 10: CS | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Chief secretary SP Goyal on Wednesday directed officials to complete the digital crop survey in all districts by Oct 10, 2025, and verify the work in the next five days.He said this during a video conference with divisional commissioners and district magistrates. Goyal was informed that out of 90,153 villages selected for the survey, the work has started in 87,203 and completed in 20,257. The work was completed in Mirzapur district. Giving directions on stubble burning, he said district magistrates should personally monitor the situation and take concrete steps to prevent incidents. The administration has also been directed to create awareness among farmers about alternative measures for stubble management. Discussing the UP Trade Show Swadeshi Mela-2025, which will be organised in all districts from Oct 9 to 18, Goyal said ministers in charge of districts should be mandatorily invited to the inauguration ceremony. “The fair should be widely publicised so that maximum people attend. Stalls should be set up for the GST Savings Festival, public welfare schemes and other programmes,” he said. District magistrates and other officers have been instructed to visit the fair from time to time and review the arrangements. These fairs will open up local markets for local artisans and craftsmen, increase their income and create new employment opportunities in rural and urban areas, he said. CS approves relaxation for construction projects Lucknow: At a meeting to discuss the relaxation of specifications for construction projects on Wednesday, chief secretary SP Goyal approved a proposal by PWD to provide relaxation to 11 projects. These included projects related to improvements in road projects and construction of new roads.
