CM pays tributes to saint Nanda Baba

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday visited Basti to pay his tributes to Nanda Baba, a widely respected saint who is known for his devotion and religious services. Nanda Baba passed away on the intervening night of Nov 3 and 4. The CM arrived in the city at the helipad built over the grounds of an inter college and visited the ashram of the saint. He offered a portrait of Baba as his personal tribute. Nanda Baba was known for installing Goddess Durga idol during Durga puja that was organised over a ground near the local district hospital in 1970. Nanda Baba was also associated with the Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur for a long time. After paying homage, Yogi met with the saints and sages who gathered for the condolence meeting and recalled Nanda Baba’s contributions to strengthening of Sanatan Dharma.
