Lucknow: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle late Thursday evening, chief secretary SP Goyal, who is on a medical leave, has been relieved of the charges of Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner (IIDC), chairman PICUP, CEO UPEIDA, CEO UPSHA, ACS, coordination department, and project director UPDASP.The above departments will now be looked after by Deepak Kumar, who already holds the charge of agriculture production commissioner (APC) and ACS (Finance). At present, Kumar is officiating chief secretary in the absence of Goyal, who will resume as the chief secretary after coming back from the leave.The UP govt transferred as many as 14 senior IAS officers on Thursday.Kumar was relieved of the charge of the basic education and secondary education departments. The key departments have been handed over to Parthasarthi Sen Sharma, who was heading the medical and health department as its principal secretary.Amit Kumar Ghosh will now head the medical and health department as its principal secretary. Ghosh was relieved of the charges of secretariat administration, animal husbandry, and fisheries. The department has been handed over to Mukesh Kumar Meshram, who has been shifted from the tourism department.Meshram has been replaced by Amrit Abhijat, who was the principal secretary of the urban development department. In place of Abhijat, the state govt posted P Guruprasad as the principal secretary, urban development.Principal secretary, CM, home and information, Sanjay Prasad, was relieved of the charge of civil aviation but will continue to head the three key departments.Likewise, principal secretary (PWD) Ajay Chauhan was given an additional charge of CEO UPSHA. Principal Secretary planning, programme implementation, and nodal officer USD 1 Trillion Economy, Alok Kumar-III, was given an additional charge of Nodal Officer Zero Poverty Campaign.He was relieved of the charges of departments like state reorganization, language, national integration, and director Hindi Sansthan. These departments have been handed over to Manish Chauhan, who was shifted from the department of sports and youth welfare as its principal secretary.Similarly, principal secretary, food and civil supplies, Ranveer Prasad has been given an additional responsibility of the department of revenue. Secretary, forest, environment and climate change, and CEO UP Clean Air Management Project Authority, Anamika Singh, has been made the food commissioner. She replaced Bhupendra S Chaudhary, who was transferred as Bareilly divisional commissioner.
