Catering staff killed in pileup caused by SUV

Lucknow: Two workers employed in a catering unit were killed and four others were injured when a speeding SUV caused a chain collision on IIM Road under Sairpur police station limits on Tuesday. The motorcycle they were riding was ripped apart by the impact.“Around 2:30 am, near Urdu Farsi outpost, driver of a black SUV (UP32 KU 6364), identified as Rajkamal Mishra alias Raj Mishra, resident of Hardoi, pushed a sedan into a stationary bus, which struck another SUV. The motorcycle on which Mithilesh Kumar (40) and Rajkumar (37) of Kursi Road, Gudamba were returning after duty was also hit with force,” said a police statement. The SUV went out of control and smashed into a parked car fitted with a CNG cylinder. “If the cylinder had exploded, the accident would have been deadlier,” a police officer said. TNN
