Caning of law students: ‘Tussle is between ABVP & Hindu Vahini’ | Lucknow News
Yadav described the recent cane charge on agitating law students and functionaries of BJP’s student wing as a tussle between Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the Hindu Vahini. While ABVP is the students wing of the BJP, mention of ‘Vahini’ by Akhilesh was in apparent reference to Hindu Yuva Vahini which was founded in 2002 by Yogi Adityanath. Taking a jibe at the police cane charge of law students and ABVP members in Barabanki, Akhilesh said described the footage as ‘Akhil Bhartiya Video of Pitai’.
