Lucknow: To address regional development and public concerns, Sarojininagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh called on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday. During the meeting, Singh highlighted key issues affecting the region, including waterlogging and drainage problems. Singh presented a detailed account of ongoing initiatives in Sarojininagar, focusing on women and youth empowerment, digital education and efforts towards cultural renaissance. He asserted these projects are playing a crucial role in the social and educational advancement of the area.Expressing concern over waterlogging during the monsoon season, Singh urged the CM to review the functioning of the municipal corporation and urban development department. He called for effective measures to improve the condition of roads and ensure regular cleaning of drains.Singh prioritized the acceleration of the Lucknow-Kanpur elevated highway construction and addressed the inconveniences faced by local residents during the project. Highlighting significance of the State Capital Region initiative, Singh stated it holds the potential to usher in a new era of development for Lucknow and five other districts. He urged the CM to convene an SCR board meeting at the earliest.Later, Singh took to social media platform X, expressing gratitude for the CM’s guidance, which he believes steers the development journey in a new direction.
