Lucknow: BJP issued show cause notice to three party members in Kanpur, including a former MP and two former district presidents, on charges of “indiscipline.” The notice, issued by UP BJP general secretary Govind Narayan Shukla, was served to former MP Anil Shukla Warsi days after he raised objection to police registering a criminal case against party workers in Kanpur. Warsi was asked to tender explanation within seven days.Shukla, husband of state minister Pratibha Shukla, had said Brahmins were being deliberately targeted by the police. Likewise, former district presidents of Kanpur, Manoj Shukla and Rajesh Tewari, were also asked to submit an explanation two days after the duo held a press conference and criticised leaders who joined BJP from other parties.
