Biker hit, dragged 2km by car, dies | Lucknow News
Lucknow: A motorcyclist died after being hit by a speeding car and dragged for about 2km on Gonda-Bahraich National Highway near Barabanki late Friday night, police said.Eyewitnesses claimed that a car moving at high speed hit a biker, later identified as Rajan (32), near a restaurant on the highway.Due to the impact, Rajan fell on the rear side of the car and got stuck in it. Instead of stopping, the car driver sped, dragging the injured man for about 2km.The driver later slowed down the car and fled after abandoning the injured man on the road. Residents rushed Rajan to Barabanki district hospital where he succumbed to injuries. Doctors said he suffered severe head and abdominal injuries, besides multiple abrasions caused by dragging.Police said the body had been sent for postmortem examination and CCTVs installed on the stretch were being scanned to trace the car driver.
