Bihar voters eager to elect Tejashwi as next CM: Akhilesh | Lucknow News
Lucknow: SP chief Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said that Bihar is on the brink of a historic political shift. Addressing four big rallies in support of INDIA alliance candidates, Akhilesh said the people of Bihar have decided to end decades of misrule under the BJP-led NDA govt and will elect Tejashwi Yadav as their next chief minister.Speaking at rallies in Navada, Jamui, Belhar (Banka), and Nathnagar (Bhagalpur) constituencies, Akhilesh appealed for a united mandate in favour of INDIA bloc nominees. “The winds of change are blowing across Bihar,” Akhilesh said. “The entire nation is watching Bihar, a state that has always shown the country a new direction. This time, Bihar will form an INDIA alliance govt under Tejashwi Yadav, a young and dynamic leader who will provide jobs, dignity, and development to every household,” he said. The SP chief accused the BJP of ruining Bihar’s growth prospects and neglecting farmers and youth. “The BJP has no agenda for jobs or welfare. “NDA looted Bihar’s budget and sent bundles of corruption money out of the state,” he alleged, adding that Bihar’s resources “must be spent on its own development.”Akhilesh said people are eager to see Tejashwi Yadav as the next CM and his govt would prioritise social justice, employment, and welfare. “Under the INDIA alliance, every family will receive 200 units of free electricity, youth will get jobs, and rule of law will be restored,” he said.Attacking the BJP over rising prices, Akhilesh said, “From petrol and diesel to gas cylinders and daily essentials, everything has become expensive. GST hikes crushed small traders and the middle class, while big industrialists were allowed to flourish. The BJP turned governance into celebration for a few and suffering for the masses.”Invoking Bihar’s heritage of equality and social justice, he said, “This is the land of Lord Mahavir, Lord Buddha, Karpoori Thakur and Lalu Prasad Yadav. BJP cannot teach politics to the people of Bihar — they understand politics better than anyone.”He said just as Samajwadis defeated the BJP in Faizabad (Ayodhya) and across Uttar Pradesh, the people of Bihar would do the same in Magadh. “When Bihar changes, India will change. This election is not just about Bihar’s future, but the future of India’s youth,” he said, predicting a clear victory for the INDIA bloc.
