Bengaluru-Lucknow flight with low fuel makes emergency landing in Varanasi | Lucknow News
Lucknow: An IndiGo flight from Bengaluru to Lucknow made an emergency landing at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi due to low fuel on Thursday morning.The Flight 6E 6353, carrying 202 passengers and six crew members, attempted to land at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow around 7.30am. However, due to an unsuitable approach, the pilots initiated a go-around manoeuvre.Sources at Lucknow airport said two flights were already in the landing queue, pushing 6E 6353 to third position. During this delay, the pilots found the aircraft was running low on fuel. They contacted the Air Traffic Control which immediately advised a diversion to Varanasi for refuelling. After safely landing and refuelling in Varanasi, the plane tookoff and landed in Lucknow around 9:30am.
