Aneet Padda Replacement Rumors in Shakti Shalini Dismissed by Director Aditya Sarpotdar |
Reports recently suggested that Saiyaara actress Aneet Padda is set to replace Kiara Advani as the lead in the horror comedy Shakti Shalini. However, director Aditya Sarpotdar has dismissed the buzz, calling it “too early” to confirm anything.“I am sure there are discussions happening with actors. But until I am aware of who is locked in the film officially it is premature to talk about it,” Sarpotdar told Mirror.
He added, “When you’re working on a film as a director you do have a wish list. As of now the focus is on completing Thama and gearing up for its release.” Sarpotdar further revealed that even he hasn’t formally signed for the film which is a part of Maddock Films horror comedy universe. Recently Maddock Films released an official statement denying the circulating rumors about their upcoming horror-comedy projects, Shakti Shalini and Maha Munjya. In a statement, they clarified that reports about casting, including speculation about Aneet Padda replacing Kiara Advani in Shakti Shalini, are entirely speculative.The statement read, “While we truly value the excitement around our horror-comedy universe, we want to make it absolutely clear that any reports regarding the casting of the upcoming chapters, including Shakti Shalini and Maha Munjya, are purely speculative. We urge the media to avoid misinformation and to wait for official announcements from us.”Coming to Sarpotdar, he is known for directing Munjhya and will also be directing the upcoming movie Thama which stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandana, Paresh Rawal and others.
