Adarsh, Amaan guide UP to one-wicket in over Himachal

With still over 100 runs needed, Aman batted sensibly with the lower order to take UP home with one wicket in hand.Talking to TOI, UP coach Gyanendra Pandey said, “This is our first match and first victory of the season. I am very happy with the way the team performed under pressure, especially Kartik Yadav. He took ten wickets in his debut match yesterday, and today Adarsh and Aman played match-winning knocks.”Kartik ecstatic after dream debutLeft-arm orthodox spinner Kartik Yadav, who claimed a 10-wicket haul in his debut match, was ecstatic about his performance. “I played in the U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy 2022-23 season, where I had claimed nine wickets, that was my best before this. Taking ten wickets in my U-23 debut means a lot to me. In this season’s UPT20 league, I took 16 wickets in 12 matches, was the most economical bowler, and even won the ‘Best Catch of the Tournament’ award,” he said. “I have worked very hard on my bowling and fitness, and this was a golden opportunity to prove myself. The colour of the ball hardly matters to me, as I’m comfortable bowling with any ball,” he added.
