10k residents face water shortage in Aishbagh area

Lucknow: About 10,000 residents of Aishbagh’s Bhadeva locality faced drinking water outage on Saturday after a key supply line of Jalkal department ruptured near First Step School.The incident, reported in the morning, halted water supply to Bhadeva and adjoining areas, prompting residents to file multiple complaints. A Jalkal team was immediately deployed to the site, where repair work began on a priority basis. GM Jalkal Kuldeep Singh said: “Rupture in the main clear water line caused the interruption. Our technical team is working at full pace. Repairs are expected to be completed by Sunday, after which regular supply will be restored. We regret the inconvenience.” Officials said routine inspections and monitoring mechanisms will be strengthened to minimise the likelihood of similar incidents in future.
