BJP starts drive to highlight GST cuts benefits

Lucknow: UP BJP state president Bhupendra Chaudhary and organisation general secretary Dharampal Singh launched stickers as part of the Next Gen GST Reform campaign and changed their WhatsApp DPs on Thursday. Deputy chief ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, along with campaign coordinator and state general secretary Subhash Yaduvansh, were also present on the occasion.Yaduvansh said the significant reduction in GST rates created an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the public. As part of the campaign, district panchayat, municipal corporation, municipal council, nagar panchayat, and development blocks will convene special sessions to thank PM Modi. Hoardings will be put up at every Shakti Kendra. Likewise, in all major markets, stickers regarding the GST rates will be placed on shops. Videos of beneficiaries will be made, and all officials and members of the public will have their social media DPs changed.“Traders will organise assembly conferences at each assembly level, and press conferences will be held in each district,” Yaduvansh said, describing this as a milestone in the GST rate reforms which will benefit all sections of society. Yaduvansh said that the prices of essential goods and services related to “bread, clothing, and shelter” will decrease. GST rates on dairy products were significantly reduced. This campaign is being overseen by former minister and MP Anoop Valmiki and MLA Neeraj Bora.
