Lucknow: It was a mesmerising evening of music and celebration as world famous playback singer Usha Uthup took the stage at the Sant Gadgeji Maharaj Auditorium of UP Sangeet Natak Akademi, at an event organised by Kali Bari Temple Trust, on Saturday evening. Music lovers and cultural enthusiasts in city enjoyed an unforgettable musical experience. Uthup kicked off the evening with a powerful rendition of ‘Skyfall’, drawing the audience in immediately with her booming voice and vibrant stage presence. Her bold and soulful take on the iconic James Bond theme set the tone for a night full of energy and musical magic. She then moved seamlessly into a series of popular classics, including Ramba Ho and Bulleya , Koi Yaha Nache Nache, each performance more captivating than the last. The audience was swept away in the infectious rhythm, clapping and singing along, creating an electric atmosphere that resonated throughout the auditorium. Chief duest, deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak, said, “I always considered it my duty to seek the blessings of Maa Kali before taking any exam as it is because of her grace that I stand here today and whatever I am today, I owe it all to her blessings.”The Kali Bari temple, located in Ghasiyari Mandi, is a 162-year-old shrine dedicated to Goddess Kali. Revered by countless devotees, it holds immense cultural and spiritual significance. The temple plays vital role in social development, actively supporting economically weaker sections of society through various initiatives. Its charitable efforts contribute to the uplift of the community, offering spiritual and material support to those in need. To commemorate its enduring legacy, a special ‘Souvenir 2025′, was unveiled on the occasion.
