Lucknow East gets funds for new roads

Lucknow: Lucknow East constituency got a development push on Saturday with the inauguration of road projects worth over Rs 200 lakh under the chief minister’s Accelerated Economic Development Scheme.Local BJP MLA OP Srivastava laid the foundation of Rs 113.31 lakh project in Panchvati Colony (Ismailganj Ward-II) in the presence of ward representative Harish Awasthi. Later, he launched a Rs 98.62 lakh road project in Indira Priyadarshini Ward along with ward representative Ram Kumar Verma. The events saw participation of local residents, BJP workers, public representatives and community leaders.Srivastava said that Panchvati Colony’s lanes had been kutcha for years, forcing residents to struggle during monsoons. “Now, with CM Yogi Adityanath’s guidance, durable roads are being built, giving long-awaited relief,” he said.He added that electricity poles obstructing Hanuman Market road would soon be removed. Road construction from Ayodhya Road to Rajat Degree College under the PWD will also begin shortly.“The BJP govt works on the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas. Lucknow East is rapidly transforming with better roads, drainage, and civic amenities,” Srivastava asserted.
